These tokens are often gifted to Buterin by developers as a marketing tactic or gesture of appreciation.
This isn’t the first time Buterin has leveraged meme coins for philanthropy. Previously, he donated Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens, a move that both reduced SHIB’s supply and funded charitable causes.
